I stitch, therefore I am

So anyone who has ever glanced at this blog has probably figured out that my two current main creative pursuits are a)making jewelry and b)stitching photographs. About a week ago it dawned on me: Why not combine the two? I bought lots of really great ribbon and lace the last time I was in California. So far I've handsewn it to clothing I'm altering (true Sisyphus-like work, I'm telling you....)but some of it is so pretty that I thought why not stitch together a pendant. A few hours of work later and, voila, a lovely Fleur de Lis necklace....
